Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Kia Soul, we're going to be installing Roadmaster's Easy Four Base Plate Kit, part #RM-522115-4.This Roadmaster base plate is going to solve the problem on how to bring your Kia Soul with you behind your brand new RV. When comparing this to some of the other options out there, this is going to be the most convenient. There are tow-dollies, you could flat bed it into a trailer, but all those other options are going to require you to have something very large to pull behind your RV just to get your vehicle with you. This is nice, convenient, all inclusive, and all you need is a small tow bar that you can store in one of your storage compartments on your RV.It is a bit time consuming to get your base plate installed, but once you get that fascia off, it really goes pretty smoothly. Compared to other base plate options out there, this one has very minimal drilling and bolts on pretty quickly. Only requires some small modifications to your vehicle to allow it to poke through and it's almost unnoticeable, so it doesn't detract from the looks of the vehicle.Included in the base plate, are some quick disconnect pins. more

Blue Ox Base Plate Kit Installation - 2015 Kia Soul- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Kia Soul, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit with Removable Arms, part number: BX2726.So, here's what our base plate looks like when it's fully installed. This is gonna give us a secure attachment point so we can hook up our tow bar and safely flat tow our Soul down the road. Now, the nice thing about this tow bar is, it has removable arms. So, if we pull this pin and rotate it, you can actually pull the arm out, giving it an inconspicuous look, and that way we're not gonna have any brackets protruding out. This sturdy, dependable design is gonna evenly distribute the towing weight so that we're gonna reduce the amount of weight that's put on our suspension.Our base plate is gonna be a construction of steel, with a nice black powder-coat finish, so it is gonna hide nicely and also resist rust and corrosion. To keep our base plate clean, and to keep dirt and debris from getting inside, they do provide us with some caps when we're not towing. more
